Association of Family & Interiors (SIFI)

Students in Fashion and Interiors (SIFI) is a student organization primarily for students who have a career interest related to the Fashion, Textiles, Housing, and/or Interiors Industries. Their activities have included involvement in community and university fashion shows, the Home Builders’ Association Parade of Homes and Showcase of Homes, obtaining and distributing clothing and furnishings for economically disadvantaged families in the community, and trips to major centers for fashion and interiors business (i.e. New York, Chicago, High Point, Las Vegas, and others). Membership is not restricted to Merchandising majors, but a career interest in fashion, interiors, or textiles is crucial.

To join SIFI, go to the groups link on the my.ysu.edu portal, click on the “groups index” tab, search for SIFI, then click on “Join.” Announcements of activities are posted here, and emails and announcements of meetings are communicated through this group.
